Facilities
As well as producing my own horses, I also offer a range of services - livery at my yard and training for both yourself and your horse. Livery ranges from Assisted DIY to full, training and competition livery with bespoke packages available to suit both you and your horse. Alongside the pole clinics that I run regularly, I also teach 1 to 1 lessons, small groups, riding clubs and pony clubs. I travel locally from my yard, day-to-day, to teach freelance and I am able further afield for clinics.
The Yard
We have a small, private yard of 7 stables, all rubber matted and fitted with windows in the rear for maximum comfort for all the horses. We pride ourselves in having a quiet yard with happy horses that thoroughly enjoy their time here. Each horses routine can be adjusted to suit them and their needs and this flexibility definitely leads to healthier, happier horses. I chose to have the yard built in such a way that it is very social for the horses, whilst at the same time helping to protect against the ever changing British weather! We have a dedicated feed room, which is next to our tack up box - which has a solarium for the colder months!
The Riding
We are very lucky to have a beautifully situated 20x60 arena, with a brilliant X-Ride surface, meaning a great footing for the horses to work on all year round - no matter the weather! We have solar powered flood lights as well as mirrors, so everything needed to make training as easy as possible!
Alongside our super arena we have amazing hacking too - you can easily go for 1.5 hours without touching a road, with it mostly being on gravel tracks it means it is also accessible during the winter, which is very useful to help our horses have a varied life!
We are based within 20 acres of grazing which, being on both sides of a hill, drains very nicely as well as giving the horses a more interesting terrain in the field. We don't do tiny pens either, I like my horses to have space to run and stop without having to turn or hit a fence, limiting field injuries as well as giving them a good chance to relax and enjoy their time outside!
