'NICE' Start to 2018 !

This is my first blog - I will aim to post with monthly updates about my life and experiences as a young international dressage rider, my highs and lows and adventures through the year.

2017 was an amazing year for me and my dancing partner Gleavo. We competed in five Internationals across Europe, started working at Altogether Equestrian, were long-listed for the GB Young Rider European Championship Team ,successfully completed our first competitive Grand Prix and also completed the Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellance in Dressage at Hartpury College. Can 2018 beat that I wonder....................

Well its off to a good start already !!

At the beginning of March while the UK was under seige from 'The Beast from the East' Gleavo and I travelled down to a very wet and windy Nice in the South of France. We were contesting the Young Rider classes in the CDI there.Gleavo went the best he has done to date securing me wins in both the classes and obtaining an International personal best of 71.5% in the Individual Test.I couldn't of asked for a better start to the year .

Two weeks later we were at Keysoe CDI and again got good placings in all the classes despite having the flu and it being in sub -zero temperatures with no heating or water in the lorry - at times like this it makes you realise how dedicated you need to be - or slightly mad perhaps!!

March finished on another good note with me passing my Category C Rigid - Class 2 LGV and CPC so i am now officially a 'Trucker' .
